Blast load effect on vessel is also considered for robust design under worst condition. All the ESR (essential safety requirement) of PED 97/23/EC -Annex-1 had been met successfully.

Small but most critical design completed on PV Elite 2012 R1 version supported with enormous manual calculation to justify the design which is not fully covered in ASME code nor jacket type 2 is covered in PV elite. Cleat type arrangement for cover is not mentioned in ASME code hence as per CL-U2(g) of Div.1 the calculations was carried out as per Sound engineering practice and further validated by Burst testing as per UG-101 of Div.1 ( Burst testing was carried out as per the procedure prepared by code tech considering all the safety requirements ).

Vessel under cyclic load due to wave motion and designed to sustain a blast load as high as 5000kg/m2. Additional force due to wave motion acceleration was considered to act simultaneously with blast load besides all other normally expected load like fluid load,self-weight, pressure & temperature load etc. . . . This vessel was designed on PV elite 2012R1 software supported with numerous in house developed spread sheets to consider the effect of wave motion, blast load and Fatigue analysis required for CE marking. Further transportation saddles with tightening belt were designed considering the worst effect of wave motion during transportation (done as per good engineering practice of Code Tech).
